Ameya Bapat is the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Commodore Capital. Prior to joining Commodore, Ameya was the Assistant General Counsel at a single family office. Prior to his role at the family office, Ameya was an associate in the tax department at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP where he represented clients in capital markets offerings, fund formations, and mergers and acquisitions. Ameya earned his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Ameya graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a BS in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering.

Ameya grew up in Upstate New York and enjoys reading, going on runs with his dog, and gardening.
